Privacy Policy

ResizePing is a PlannedPing product. This policy explains, in plain language, what data ResizePing handles, what stays on your device, and the limited diagnostic information that leaves it.

Your photos stay on your device

All image processing — resizing, compressing, and format conversion — happens entirely on your device. The photos you select and the resized results are never uploaded to PlannedPing or to any third party. There is no cloud processing, no server round-trip, and no copy of your images kept anywhere off your device.

How ResizePing accesses your photos

ResizePing uses the Android Photo Picker to let you choose the specific images you want to resize. It requests no storage or photo-library permission — the system picker hands ResizePing only the exact images you select, and the app never has broad access to your photo library. Resized results are saved to Pictures/ResizePing or a folder you choose.

Location metadata is stripped by default

By default, ResizePing removes GPS location data from the EXIF metadata of your resized images, so you don't accidentally share where a photo was taken. This happens on your device as part of processing. You remain in control of your original files — ResizePing writes a new resized image and does not silently alter your originals.

No account required

ResizePing requires no account, sign-in, or registration of any kind. There is no user profile, no login, and no data linked to your identity.

Diagnostics and usage analytics

ResizePing includes Firebase Crashlytics (crash diagnostics) and Firebase Analytics (usage analytics), both enabled by default. They are strictly content-free: they never include your photos, image contents, filenames, or file paths.

Crash diagnostics. When a problem occurs, technical information — such as the stack trace, device model, OS version, and app version — is sent to PlannedPing via Firebase Crashlytics so we can identify and fix stability problems.

Usage analytics. Content-free usage events (for example, that a resize job started, which mode was used, or that a purchase screen was opened) are recorded via Firebase Analytics to help us understand which features are useful. This is diagnostics and usage data — it is not used to track you across other apps or services, and it is not linked to your identity.

Advertising (free users only)

Free users see a single small banner ad, served by Google's own Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) SDK. There is no interstitial, rewarded, native, or app-open ad, and no other ad network. ResizePing Pro purchasers never see ads.

Serving an ad requires Google's SDK to send a device/advertising identifier to Google's ad infrastructure to request and measure the ad; that request leaves your device to Google, a third party. PlannedPing itself never logs or collects any ad identifier or ad-unit ID.

ResizePing Pro and purchases

ResizePing is free to download. ResizePing Pro is an optional, one-time (non-consumable) purchase that removes the banner ad, unlocks unlimited batch, and adds advanced export options. There are no subscriptions and no other in-app products.

Purchases are processed entirely by Google Play, under its own policies. PlannedPing never collects your payment details (card number, billing address) — the store's own checkout collects that directly, and ResizePing's code never has access to it. The purchase token the store returns is used only to confirm and restore your purchase and is never sent to any PlannedPing-operated server. PlannedPing has no payments database of its own.

Permissions and app access

ResizePing declares one runtime-relevant permission:

  • Internet access — required for the banner ad, for content-free Firebase diagnostics and analytics, and to look up and confirm a ResizePing Pro purchase through Google Play Billing.

ResizePing does not request access to your contacts, microphone, location, or broad storage. Photos are chosen through the Android Photo Picker, which needs no photo-library permission.

Data and deletion

All of ResizePing's data — your job history and app settings — is stored locally on your device. PlannedPing does not hold a copy of it, so there is no account to close and no server-side data to request the deletion of.

You can clear your history from within the app at any time. Uninstalling ResizePing removes all of its on-device data. Resized images you have already saved to your gallery or a folder you chose are ordinary files and remain until you delete them yourself.
